    While there are many different types of Counter Tops available such as Corian, Silestone, Ceasarstone, Granite, and others, Kitchens Made New provides two different types of Granite Solutions. One is the "low cost" solution, and the other is the "full slab" Solution. 

    The low cost solution is the "pre-fab" granite that can save you literally thousands of dollars over the cost of "full slab" granite solutions.

        The "pre-fab" solution will usually have a visible seam and will need to be "sealed" about once per year.

        The "full slab" solution is also a "Lifetime" solution. It will usually NOT have a seam and unlike other high end solutions, ours comes with a "lifetime" seal and is 3 cm thick instead of 2 cm thick.

 

      The pictures above show a close-up on the left of the only seam in this "pre-fab" granite kitchen and the picture on the right is the same seam but from a distance.  The two-tone appearance is due to the flash of the camera only and this "Uba Tuba" granite color is mostly black like the darker color in the back half of this picture.

    Solid Surface counter-tops like Corian don't need sealing, usually have a very difficult to detect seam and you can use mild abrasive cleansers.

    Quartz and Engineered Stones like "Silestone" and "Ceasarstone" are usually like the "pre-fab" granite solutions in that they will have a "visible" seam.
